Obituary of Charlotte M. Thomas

Graveside services for Charlotte M. Thomas, 90, will be Saturday afternoon at 2 PM at Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop. Following Charlotte's wishes, there will be no calling hours; arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Mrs. Thomas passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 unexpectedly at Canton Potsdam Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Merideth Thomas of Winthrop and Beverly Roberge of Bradenton, FL; one sister, Elaine Dougan of Potsdam; four grandchildren, Jacque Perrier of Boiling Springs, SC, Jon Paul Perrier of Youngsville, NC, Brian Roberge of Bradenton, FL and Julianne and Nick Hence of Winthrop; two great grandchildren, Shelby Perrier of Brasher and Brianne Taylor of Winthrop. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth, two sisters, Kathleen Tebo and Marion Whalen and two brothers, Donald Munson and Garth Munson. Charlotte was born on May 25, 1919 in Potsdam, daughter of the late Guy and Mildred (Castle) Munson. She graduated from Brasher Stockholm High School and on June 13, 1946, she married Kenneth H. Thomas in Tupper Lake. Mr. Thomas passed away Sept. 12, 2002. Mrs. Thomas was a hairdresser, operating the Thomas Beauty Shop in Winthrop for over 45 years.
