Jean and I send our love and deepest sympathy to the O'Connor's. Bob and Rita took me in and made me another of their "adopted sons". They made me feel at home within the first minute of meeting them. I'll never forget the wonderful times and heart-to-heart conversations we had during my visits to North Country. Their love and support helped me more than you could ever know.
We hope that the many happy memories you made with Rita help to sustain you all during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace "Mom O'Connor".
Love,
Greg and Jean Byrne

Tim and Erin,
I have thought of you often today as you lay your mom to rest. Please accept my condolences.
There is never a time that feels right to say goodbye to people we love. As cliché as it may sound, I believe they live on in our memories. Aunt Rita touched countless lives as a teacher, caregiver, and friend. I am grateful for the time I knew her and only regret that I did not put more effort into staying in touch.
Your cousin,
Frank (as well as Cheryl, Dawn, and Aunt Jan)

Tim and Erin,
My sincerest condolences to you and your families. Rita was a wonderful woman, an amazing teacher and a true friend to our family. I fortunately got to see her and spend a couple hours with her two summers ago, up in Brasher Falls. It was so great to see her.
I fondly remember all the summers we all spent camping, the fun cookouts we had at one house or the other and crazy winter carnivals.
I hope that your memories carry you through these difficult days ahead. My thoughts are with you all.

Rita's beautiful bright smile was always a wonderful sight down around Main Street, Brasher Falls, when I was a youth. She and Bob were a treasure in that small community. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Tim, Rita was such a wonderful person. I have so many fond memories of her and Bob, Tommy and you when we were vacationing and at all those Sunday breakfasts so many years ago. I'm so sorry for your loss. Including Erin and your families too in that! I'm sure Mom and Dad and Bob are already greeting Rita with a big reunion party up there.

On behalf of the Canton Day Care, Inc. I send our condolences to Rita’s family. Our young toddler group visited her weekly and enjoyed listening to her read to them. She always was looking for the “right book” so they would enjoy it as much as she enjoyed reading to thrm. She was truly a passionate educator! She will be greatly missed!!
