Obituary of Frederick C. Allison
St. Regis Falls- Mr. Frederick C. Allison, 69, passed away on Thursday December 13, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Fred had been under the care of Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls.
Following Fred’s wishes there will be no funeral services at this time. His family plans to have a Celebration of his Life in the summer.
Frederick was born in Norwalk, CT on February 2, 1949 to the late Charles Wesley and Carol (Rippiger) Allison. He graduated from F. A. Smith High School in Bridgeport CT and attended college in Shawnee, OK before enlisting himself into the US ARMY in 1970. Fred served his country with distinction in Vietnam; earning his honorable discharge in 1972.
On August 1st, 1992 he married Marsha Poklemba in Washington, CT.
He was a plumber by trade and had been a plumbing instructor in Plattsburgh.
Fred is survived by his wife, Marsha; 4 daughters: Eron Allison and her fiancé Chad Garlock, Lauren Allison and partner Justin Shmurda, Samantha Allison and her partner Anthony Gushaw, and Cassandra and Brandon Davis; 2 grandsons: Dennis and Garrett; a brother, Kenneth Allison; 3 sisters: Joan Kick, Ann Branca, and Nancy Keiser; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Fred’s hospice nurse, Charity Hayes, for her care, compassion and friendship that was shared to Fred.
