Since Rod must have exerted his final breath in blowing out the 96th candle on his symbolic birthday cake, by passing away on the date of his birth, the candle that accompanies this message was lit on his behalf in the hope that it will help light the way for the journey of Rod's immortal soul to the gates of his heavenly home.
Rod's entire life was one of SERVICE: service to his nation; service to his employer; service to his community; and service to his entire family. Let us all join our thoughts and prayers together in order to propel his soul onward and upward into the care of our Almighty God, where he will enjoy eternal blessings for his 96 year, lifetime of service.
