Obituary of Beverly P. Yandoh

Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Winthrop – Mrs. Beverly P. Yandoh, 85, passed away at her home with her loving family at her side on Thursday, July 4, 2019.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, where visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.  Beverly’s Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 am at Brasher Falls United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Winthrop Cemetery.

On July 7, 1933 in Massena, Beverly was born to the late George P. (Ted) and Pearl Ann (LaTrace) Green.  She married John W. Yandoh on September 27, 1952 at Brasher Falls United Methodist Church with Rev. Morey officiating. They shared 50 years of a loving union and the blessing of their children.  John passed away on April 19, 2003.

Beverly was a Nurses Aid working at Canton-Potsdam Hospital for 27 years, and being a natural caretaker, she provided home care assistance for those in need.  She knew her children and made special time for each of them.  As the kids were growing, she and her husband were involved with their activities, organized family gathering focused on food and fun.  She was always available for her grandchildren, proudly watching them grow as they brightened her day.  She practiced her faith at the Brasher Falls United Methodist Church, where she had been active in the choir and the Cantata Choir.  She supported and attended activities with the Quad Town Senior Citizens.

She is survived by eight children; David and Sandy Yandoh of FL, Tammy Burch and her fiancé, Donovan Cunningham of OH, Pamela Bressett and Mike White of Winthrop, John and Molly Yandoh, Jr. of Winthrop, Dale Yandoh of Winthrop, Lisa Yandoh of Norwood, Stephen and Beth Yandoh of Winthrop, and Julie Yandoh and her companion, Barry Miller of Massena, one brother; Wayne and Lisa Green of Norwood, two sisters; Nancy Martin of St. Regis Falls and Brenda Collins of Norwood, 19 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, Beverly was predeceased by one daughter, Debra L. Malley, one brother, George Albert Green and one sister, Patricia Ann James.

Those wishing to express an act of kindness, please consider donations to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, Brasher-Winthrop Fire Department, Tri Town Rescue Squad or the Alzheimer’s Association.
