Kay F. Sutton, 75, of Colton passed away on March 13, 2020. She was born on September 25, 1944 in Malone, daughter of the late George and Evelyn Anderson of North Lawrence. She was a graduate of St. Lawrence Central School in 1962 and a 1964 graduated of Erie County Community College for Dental Hygiene. She married Gerald Sutton on February 12, 1971. They raised their family in Winthrop and then moved to Colton on Higley Flow in 2005 and spent part of the winter in Stuart, FL. Kay is survived by her husband, Gerald, son, Mac and Angela Sutton of Baldwinsville, daughter, Alicia and Michael Ward of Potsdam, grandchildren, Garrett, Trevor and Mason Sutton and Ryan Ward. She was predeceased by her sister, Sue Stevens and brother Ron Anderson. Kay took great enjoyment in being Mimi to the grandchildren and KooKoo KK to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, gardening, landscaping on their property and traveling with her husband, Jerry. She visited all the 50 states. Kay was employed as a Dental Hygiene Teacher in many of the local school and later as a Teacher Assistant in the Potsdam Middle School. Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held later, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mad in Kay’s name to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611-3201, Colton-Pierrepont Central School, 4921 St. Hwy. 56, Colton, NY 13625 or Colton Fire Department, Colton, NY 13625.
