I am very saddened to hear this news. She was a very dear lady and I enjoyed my visits with her. Starting in the early 1990s we met and discussed family history and she knew so much about our family going back several generations. We were distant cousins but she knew everybody and was also so very interesting to talk to. She loved all her family distant and near. Will miss her greatly.

Dear Mary, Shelley, Kay, Jan, Ellen, Keith and John,
What a great lady your Mom was. I always loved visiting at camp and the farm. What I remember about Aunt Theresa is her peaceful gentle spirit, her sweet smile and her faith in God. May the memory of her sweet fragrance in life be a comfort that you will cherish forever in your hearts. She left a beautiful legacy. Thanks for the memories in pictures. Love, Linda and Stan Charette

My name is Mary Beth (DeShane) Tollise from Bradenton, Fl. My parents Doug & Etta DeShane were great friends of your parents way back when we lived in Brasher Falls. My deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of your dear mother. I remember her when I was a little girl and she always had a pretty smile and kind word to say. My parents spoke very highly of both your mom and dad. Again....my condolences to the entire Phillips family.

To the entire Phillips Family, my deepest sympathies to you all. Many wonderful memories touching many generations. I knew Teresa as a very proud loving Mom. Each and every time we spoke,Teresa would ask how are your children, and each and every time, she so proudly proclaimed, she had seven children and what a pleasure it was to raise them all. You were all blessed. And I know, the legacy she left behind, will continue to flourish for many generations, and those to follow. Nobody loves you more than your Mom, Well done Teresa, May God Bless ,

Grandma Phillips, thank you for being such a loving and involved grandmother. All of your grandchildren have so many rich memories and countless lessons learned from you and grandpa. Here are a some that come to mind. I remember you letting us (Adam and I) play with most of the antiques at the farm like the cannonball, old stereo viewer, and other trinkets. You always had a special stick of gum for us to brighten our day (you were for a time also known as grandma with the gum). Your spirituality meant so much to my spiritual development. I cherish the memories of us praying together when I spent the night at the farm as a child. Thanks for letting me explore the old letters in the barn and collect all the stamps It was so interesting and I learned a lot about our country's history.
As I grew older you and grandpa were frequent supporters at our sports events. It was inspiring to have the Airstream moterhome at my JV football games. Our trip to Ireland before I began medical school holds a special place in my heart. After all the stories you told me about Ireland and your relatives immigrating, it was an honor to share some time with you exploring a place we both love. Thank you again Grandma Phillips. I know you are in a wonderful place that you have been preparing to enter for a long while.

You are all in my thoughts. You took such good care of your mother. You made it possible for her to stay in her home until the end. That in itself is an achievement. I reach out to you in a virtual hug, especially my book club members Mary and Shelley.

Mrs. Phillips would visit Edna Rufa often. When she did she always asked about our life in a very sincere way. She did this with a warm smile every time. We would talk about school, the farm, and the future. It was always a pleasure to talk with her. She will be very missed.
Hugs to the family
