While I never had the honor of meeting Mr. Demo, I have known his daughter, Beth, for many years. We met and served together through Special Olympics Florida, Pinellas County Chapter. I always so look forward to seeing her every spring when she comes down for the Yankee spring training games (although I am a die-hard Cubs fan!)and a Lightning hockey game or two and she always speaks so fondly of both her parents and other family members, often texting them during the games. I was so saddened for her when I received her message telling me of the passing of her Dad so suddenly. I lost my Dad very suddenly 39 years ago but still remember the shock and pain of that awful time so share your grief, Beth. May your wonderful memories of your Dad sustain you through this very difficult time. My deepest condolences to you and your family, my dear friend. Sue Porter, Largo, Florida

I am so sorry for your loss. Bill was truly dedicated to our community. He will be missed. I remember going to his store with my parents when I was young. My parents enjoyed attending his auctions with their food truck. Then I was honored to be a member of the same teaching staff with him at SLC. I have always enjoyed listening to his distinctive voice when he read at Sunday Masses. He has made such a positive impact on so many people throughout his life. May he rest in God’s peace and may God comfort you all.

our condolences go out to Mrs Demo and family. Ralph and I were so glad to talk with Mr Demo couple weeks back. Even over the phone and distance separating we could hear the "smile". He was such a great role model to the community.
Mr. Demo had the patience of a Saint , I can attest to that because I was one of those kids that challenged him in his early years of teaching.
when we moved to the stone house in Stockholm he would stop in and have a few stories and of coarse his tickets but more than that his friendship. He would almost always have to get home because Kathleen was baking up something wonderful and he loved talking about her great cooking.
God Bless

Bill will ALWAYS be remembered. He was Mr. Brasher Falls to everyone who knew him. And if you ever went to an auction and it got to out of control you can still hear him "People,People ! " And we would all get quiet and some would giggle. So many memorys but I am very sure once in the loving arms of Jesus, Bill heard the words of our Lord proclaim, "well done my good and faithful servant". He was a mighty example to all of Christian living.

Mrs. Demo, Beth, Billy and the entire Demo Family,
I am so sorry for you all. For 11 years, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to see Mr. and Mrs. Demo weekly, practically from the last snowfall-nearly until the first flake of the next season. To this day, I remain grateful for the kindness and graciousness that you both showed me throughout that time. Mr. Demo's honest, direct, sincere and thoughtful manner was something to be admired. His quick wit, mischievous smile and distinctive laugh was something to be enjoyed. Brasher Falls has been incredibly lucky to have had many exceptional people dedicated to making it a special place. But I cannot believe that anyone was more devoted to our community. Mr. Demo's humility and pride were the backbone of his constant endeavors to help others; while his bold but friendly demeanor found a way, to sell that ticket or secure that donation, to be certain funds were raised to the benefit of the cause (even if that meant reaching deep into his own pocket). Without fanfare, he simply lead by example influencing others to follow his standard. As such, he will remain an inspiring figure even in his passing.
But I will greatly miss him.
Wishing you strength and peace during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Chris Bernard
