Manchester, NH - Norma Jean Locke, 72, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Elliott Hospital in Manchester, NH, after a short fight with cancer, with her son and his wife, Ben and Jessica, at her bedside. Her family has honored her life privately and buried her in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery in Brasher Falls next to her brother. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Norma was born in Potsdam on September 15, 1948, daughter of the late Walter E. and Laura B. (Burnap) Locke. She graduated from St. Lawrence Central High School in 1966 and entered the US Navy. She was previously married to Norman Peterson. Norma enjoyed rides to the beach, spending time with her son and daughter in law, and reading. Norma will be remembered by her son, Benjamin and Jessica of Manchester, NH, her sisters: Linda Hollis of Inverness, FL, Lori Locke of Canton, NY and Nancy Locke Huff of Monson, MA, her Uncle Don Locke of Brasher Falls and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also predeceased by her brother, James C. Locke who died on December 28, 1987. Donations in her memory can be made to the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester at www.mhcgm.org.
