Obituary of Shirley M. Burge

North Lawrence – Mrs. Shirley M. Burge, 84, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Massena Memorial Hospital with her husband, Randy at her bedside. Following her wishes, graveside services will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 at 1 pm in Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lawrence. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Shirley was born on May 17, 1936 in Potsdam, daughter of the late Frederick and Velma (Dewey) Brown. She married Randolph L. “Randy” Burge on April 19, 1969 at the Potsdam United Methodist Church. Shirley worked in the Clerical Department at General Motors in Massena, retiring in 1988. She is survived by her husband, Randy. Shirley was predeceased by a sister, Rogene McGraw and a brother, Robert Brown. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
