Brasher Falls – Reginald H. Brabon “Old Adirondack”, 89, passed away March 30, 2021 at his home. Born in St. Regis Falls on December 16,1931, Reggie is the son of the late Ernest and Dora (Austin) Brabon. He attended St. Regis Falls High School. On July 3, 1954, he married Graceann Fadden at Trinity United Methodist Church. They shared unconditional love and companionship for over 66 years. He retired from Reynold’s Metals where he was a maintenance mechanic. An avid outdoorsman, Reggie was a member of several hunting clubs and also served as an officer with some; Green Hats Club, Sylvan Falls Club, Township 19 Club, Ormsby Pond Club, Standing Tall Club, East Brook Club, and The American Motorcycle Association. He was the founding member of the Moira Sport Riders Club. Reggie was a renowned hunter, and enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, carpentry, motorcycle racing, reading and knife making. He made 3 road trips to Alaska and hunted all across North America. His friends and family fondly remember him as a dedicated prankster. He practiced his faith at the Free Methodist Church in St. Regis Falls. He is survived by his wife, Graceann, their children; Danny B. Brabon of Brasher Falls, Susan K. Brabon of Brasher Falls and Mickie L. Van Patten of Madrid, seven grandchildren; Erica Hawes, Brittney Nichols, Danielle Brabon, Jamie Salg, Andrew Bryant, Willow Van Patten and Randy Van Patten, three great grandchildren; Max Hawes, June Hawes and Harvey Nichols, several nieces and nephews. He is the last of his generation, predeceased by his three sisters, Carol Brabon, Pearl Ward and Laura Martin and five brothers, Eugene, Robert, Wesley, Harold and Marshall. His family will receive friends on Friday from 12 noon until 2 pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. A graveside service will be at Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls at 3:30 pm. Flowers are gratefully declined. Reggie’s family have requested that donations in his memory be made to the NRA, The Arbor Day Foundation, or Tri-Town Rescue.
