Obituary of Eileen J. Susice

St. Regis Falls – Eileen J. Susice, 73, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at her home in Parishville. Visitation will be held Monday, June 28th at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls from 12 pm to 2 pm. Her funeral service will be at 2 pm with Fr. Fish officiating with burial to follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery in St. Regis Falls. Eileen was born on January 19, 1948, in Malone, daughter of the late Glen and Joyce (Ploof) Cheney. She graduated from St. Regis Falls High School. She worked for Social Security in Ogdensburg, Elliott Hutchins in Malone, and Tru-Stitch Footwear, a subsidiary of Wolverine World Wide, where she was Shipping Supervisor. She traveled all over the country setting up Wolverine locations with her expertise in shipping. She married Gabriel E. Susice on January 18, 1969, in St. Regis Falls. Gabe passed way on December 14, 2017, after they shared 47 years of a blessed union. Eileen enjoyed anytime she could with her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in St. Regis Falls. Eileen is survived by her two children; Gabriel J. and Pamela Susice of St. Regis Falls, and Laurie and Tobin Peary of Nicholville; their grandchildren; Logan Adams of Potsdam, Gabriel J. Susice II of Moira, Blake Raymond Susice of Moira, and Sarah Ann Susice of St. Regis Falls, one brother; Lawrence and Sydna Cheney of St. Regis Falls, two sisters, Debbie and Randy Phillips of N. Bangor and Lois and Jerry Forkey of Clifton Park, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Eileen was predeceased by her siblings, Nancy Johnson and Wayne Cheney.
