A bright light extinguished from our world as we knew it on September 16th. 2015, "Dougie" as we affectionately called him was a caring and loving person. He always greeted us with open-arms when we arrived at Deer River for our summer visits. He was a big part of our stay here and made it a very special place for us. All the teasing, fun and good times will be forever in our hearts.
The measure of a man: Not-"How did he die"? But-"How did he live"? Not-"What did he gain"? But-"What did he give"? Dougie gave his all and that says a lot about him.
To Doug's family, we are deeply saddened for your loss, too. He loved you all and his mom very much. God love and bless our dear friend and his family keeping them all in His care.

May Douglas's family and friends be comforted by God’s promise to “swallow up death forever…and wipe away the tears from all faces” (Isaiah 25:8). Along with the promise of a time soon when ‘no resident will say ” I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24) “Remember the Resurrection hope for both righteous and unrighteous” (Acts 24:15) You can find more Inspirational information for comfort and peace at JW.ORG

Very sorry for the Tebeau family loss. Doug was a fixture at the Deer River Campgrounds. We have been going there for 20+ years. It just won't be the same without Doug's presence. Just a great guy.
