Duane - Douglas A. Tebeau, 61, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at UVMC in Burlington, VT. Following his wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Doug was born on April 28, 1954 in Massena, son of Kenneth and Phyllis (Tiernan) Tebeau. He graduated from Massena High School in 1973 and attended BOCES for two years. He went to New Milford, CT where he worked for Kimberly Clark as a First Operator until 1983. He moved back to upstate NY where he took the Caretaker position at Deer River Campsites in Duane. Douglas was a volunteer fire fighter for the Town of Duane for 32 years, one time serving as Fire Chief and presently holding the position of treasurer. Douglas is survived by his mother, Phyllis Tebeau of Duane, two sons, Chad and Kayla Tebeau of St. Regis Falls and Sean and Rebecca Tebeau of Duane, one daughter, Melissa Tebeau of Sarasota, FL, six grandchildren, Jordan, Aubrey, Lukas, Ian, Isaak, and Hannah, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Duane Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday September 27th following burial in Ladd Cemetery at noon. Those wishing to express an act of kindness, please consider donations in his memory to the Duane Volunteer Fire Dept., 172 County Route 26, Malone, NY 12953. The Tebeau Family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the St. Regis Falls Volunteer Rescue Squad, the Duane Volunteer Fire Dept., and the University of Vermont Medical Center for their compassionate care and service.
