Rita touched so many, many lives. In addition to her professional career, she also gave back to her community by volunteering for years every Sat. at the Thrift Shop. This became yet another of venue of extended friendships, laughter, advice-and love. (And a "few odds and ends!")
She loved her family unconditionally and worried about them quietly at times, not so quietly at others ;-) In turn, she was also surrounded by the gift of their love: Nothing was more precious to her than this.
"Some people leave footprints on our hearts;" and some people leave footprints on our soul.
I am so sorry to learn of the death of your mom, grandma, sister, sister in law, aunt, colleague and friend. She knew she was blessed throughout her life with all of you, by a very special circle of your love. May that same circle continue to surround and sustain all of you now in your grief.
I will never be able to hear Rita's favorite song by Enya, "Only Time" without remembering her: "Who can say where the road goes, where the day flows, only time...Who knows-only time." May time provide some solace to your grief, some healing to your hearts, some comfort through the tears within your memories.
