I am so sorry to learn of Mrs. Kilcoyne's passing while visiting the Highland today. I met her the first week she became a Highland resident when daughter Bethanne introduced me and my dog, Nicholas, to Rita--and asked if we would add her to the group of residents we regularly visited there. Nick and I got to know her as a very kind and gracious lady who always had a kind word for both of us. If we brightened her day, she surely brightened ours, and we looked forward to our visits, however brief. As sad as I am, I smile when I recall one of our encounters a few months ago. She asked me if I liked picnics, and I replied that I did. She promptly replied: "Good! Because when I get so I can walk again, I'm going to call you and invite you on a picnic--and you can bring the dog too!" We will miss her--and firmly believe that the Good Lord Jesus has embraced her with his loving arms and welcomed her into his Kingdom.
